Bug Tracker Help - Tester User
A Tester User can log bugs along with file attachments of various Modules, can track the status of the bugs logged.
The Tester User Logs in with his/her credentials. On successful login, the following Dashboard is seen which displays all the Projects assigned to him along with roles.
Step 1: Create Groups
Click on Tester action in the Dashboard, you will be redirected to the respective project dashboard as shown below.
Click on Master, Click on Group Master. In the window that opens, Enter Group Name and select Developer name from the dropdown, enter Remarks if any. Click Save to save the details.
Step 2: Report Project Bugs
Once the Project and Project Groups are added to Masters, bugs or issues in Projects can be reported.
To report Bugs, in the Main menu, click Bug Details.
Click on New, In the window that opens, Select Group Name from the dropdown, enter Issue Heading, steps to reproduce and Tester remarks if any.
Automatically Assigned To field be populated with the Developer Name from the Group Master on Group Name selection from the dropdown.
Select respective Priority and Severity of the Issue. Click on Save to save the details.
Step 3: File attachments
File attachments can be done with respect to the issues logged in an application that can be used as a reference by Developers to refer and fix issues. Click on Attach files, in the window that opens, click on Choose File and select the file that you want to attach. Enter URL path if any. Click on Save to save the details.
After the issues have been logged by Testers, those can be viewed in the Bug Details screen. Here, multiple issues are displayed along with all the details entered in the Bug Details screen.
Step 4: Log Details
In the Log Details screen, we can track the status of an Issue logged, with activities performed.
Like, when the Status of this issue was changed by which user.
Step 5: Filtering bugs
In the Bug Details screen, click on Filter List and Group, Raised Date, Status and Reported By, or any other search criteria and click List. Logged issues will be sorted in the respective filter.
Step 6: Export bugs
There is a provision to Export/Import bugs from them Excel sheet. Click on Export. An Excel sheet will be downloaded.
Step 7: Import bugs
Click on the Import button, click on the Download Template, an Excel sheet will be downloaded fill in the details and save the file. Click on Choose File select the file which you want to import and click on the Import button. All the issues will be imported successfully.
